On July 18, the General Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government issued "Several Measures of Chongqing Municipality to Boost Consumption". It proposes unleashing the potential of automobile consumption. In accordance with national arrangements, the city will actively implement subsidies for automobile scrappage, renewal, and replacement. It will further advance pre-inspection of vehicles by domestic passenger car manufacturers, implement full online processing for new vehicle registration, and adopt a service model featuring online application, online verification, and mail delivery of licenses and plates for motor vehicle registration. The requirements for one-stop processing of used vehicle export registration and cross-provincial online handling of used vehicle transaction registration in different locations will be implemented, and "remote verification" for motor vehicle color modification will be innovatively introduced.
