Issued by the Ministry of Commerce on October 30, the Guiding Opinions on Expanding Green Trade, the first special policy document in the green trade field, focuses on the weak links in China’s green trade development and formulates targeted measures. It proposes accelerating the green and low-carbon development of logistics, promoting the shift of long-haul transportation of bulk foreign trade cargo and containers from road to rail and water, facilitating the deployment of transportation vehicles and ships powered by clean energy such as renewable synthetic fuels for foreign trade cargo transportation, and supporting the mixed blending of domestically produced biodiesel and marine fuel oil in integrated bonded zones.
