On June 25, the National Development and Reform Commission issued The 15th Five‑Year Plan for Building a New Energy System. The Plan sets a target of raising the share of non‑fossil energy consumption to 25% by 2030, providing strategic support for the electricity supply needed to power the electrification transition of the transport sector. In terms of transport‑supporting infrastructure, the Plan calls for improving the intercity charging network and developing a charging infrastructure network that features urban area coverage, highway corridor deployment, and rural point distribution, with the goal of reaching 40 million charging units nationwide.
