On June 12, 13 departments including the Ministry of Transport jointly issued the Implementation Plan for Promoting the Large-scale Application of New Energy Heavy-duty Trucks. To advance the green and low-carbon transition of the transportation sector, the plan explicitly sets the target of lifting the penetration rate of new energy heavy-duty trucks to 40% by 2030, and deploys the construction of 30,000 kilometers of zero-carbon highway freight corridors.In terms of supporting infrastructure, the plan proposes building heavy-duty truck charging and battery-swapping stations in alignment with the expressway network, guiding the layout of hydrogen refueling stations and green fuel filling stations in key application scenarios, and vigorously promoting the construction of integrated facilities integrating wind power, photovoltaic power, energy storage, charging and battery swapping.Meanwhile, the plan encourages full-scenario application of new energy heavy-duty trucks, and supports their prioritized rollout in trunk freight transportation, ports, industrial and mining enterprises and other fields.
