On June 5, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued Announcement No. 13 of 2026.As specified in the document, in accordance with the Administration Requirements on Hazardous Substances and Recyclability Rate of Automobiles, MIIT hereby officially releases the compliance status (the 17th Batch) for passenger vehicles (Category M1). The compliance verification is carried out respectively against two national standards: the use of hazardous substances is checked against Requirements for Prohibited Substances in Automobiles, and the calculation method of recyclability rate is checked against Requirements and Calculation Methods for Reusability and Recyclability of Road Vehicles.This initiative aims to further standardize the green manufacturing of automobile products, strengthen environmental management throughout the whole life cycle of vehicles, and drive the automobile industry to develop towards a green and circular mode.
