Action Plan for the High-Quality Development of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure in Guangdong Province

Last Update:2026-07-14

Summary

On June 4, relevant departments including the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the Action Plan for the High-quality Development of Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities in Guangdong Province. Focusing on building a high-quality charging facility system, the document specifies that by the end of 2027, the province will have built over 3 million charging facilities cumulatively, realizing county-wide coverage of supercharging, with the number of supercharging stations in each city no less than that of gas stations. For green infrastructure and clean network layout, the Plan promotes the construction of a unified province-wide high-power charging network, accelerates the popularization of 360kW+ supercharging and megawatt fast-charging facilities, and plans to build electric heavy truck charging and swapping trunk lines plus node networks in scenarios such as ports, docks and large logistics hubs. In addition, the policy makes a forward-looking arrangement for large-scale vehicle-to-grid (V2G) application, targeting over 2,500 cumulative V2G facilities by the end of 2027. All charging and swapping facilities are required to be fully connected to the "Yue Yi Chong" provincial intelligent service platform for dynamic visual supervision, so as to fully support the large-scale application of new energy commercial and passenger vehicles with high-quality energy replenishment infrastructure.
