On May 25, Henan Province released the Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Henan Province, systematically deploying key tasks for comprehensive transportation construction. The plan proposes to optimize the province's comprehensive transport corridors featuring "five vertical and five horizontal lines with diagonal connections", improve the three-dimensional transport network with coordinated development of railways, highways, waterways and civil aviation, and advance the construction of high-speed railways, intercity railways, high-grade waterways and feeder airports. Relying on the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, it will enhance the role of the Air Silk Road, strengthen air logistics, increase the frequency of international routes, expand the scale of China-Europe Railway Express, and develop highway-railway-waterway multimodal transport.
