On March 13, the State Council issued the "Action Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Upgrades and the Replacement of Consumer Goods with New Ones." The Plan proposes support for the renewal of transportation equipment and outdated agricultural machinery. It continues to promote the electrification of urban public buses, supporting the upgrading and replacement of old new energy public buses and their power batteries. It accelerates the phase-out of diesel trucks operating under the National III emission standard and below. It strengthens the industrialization capacity building for green aviation equipment powered by electricity and hydrogen. The Plan also accelerates the scrapping and renewal of old, high-energy-consuming, and high-emission ships, vigorously supports the development of new energy-powered ships, improves the supporting infrastructure and standards for new energy-powered ships, and gradually expands the application range of new energy ships such as electric, liquefied natural gas (LNG), biodiesel, and green methanol-powered vessels.
