Recently, the Ministry of Transport and twelve other departments issued the "Action Plan for the Large-Scale Renewal of Transportation Equipment" (referred to as the "Action Plan"). The Action Plan proposes the implementation of seven major actions to promote the development of clean, low-carbon, and efficient transportation energy systems and to orderly advance the green and low-carbon transformation of the transportation industry. 1. Urban Bus Electrification Replacement: Encourages the renewal of old new energy buses and power batteries.2. Elimination and Renewal of Old Operational Diesel Trucks: Accelerates the elimination and renewal of old operational diesel trucks and orderly promotes new energy operational trucks.3. Scrapping and Renewal of Old Operational Ships: Accelerates the scrapping and renewal of high energy consumption and high emission old transport ships, vigorously supports the development of new energy and clean energy-powered transport ships, and improves the supporting infrastructure for new energy and clean energy-powered transport ships.4. Elimination and Renewal of Old Locomotives: Accelerates the elimination of old locomotives and encourages the renewal of new energy locomotives.5. Replacement of Old Postal and Express Equipment: Supports the renewal of old security inspection equipment, the renewal of end-delivery vehicles for postal and express delivery, and the renewal of old sorting equipment.6.
