On July 9, the Anhui Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the High-Quality Development of Green Intelligent Inland Vessels and Specialized Marine Engineering Equipment in Anhui Province (2024-2027)." The plan emphasizes the vigorous development of green intelligent inland vessels, guided by the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. It calls for continuous efforts in green intelligent ship technology, promoting the research and application of green power sources such as ship batteries, liquefied natural gas (LNG), methanol, and hydrogen. The plan also focuses on enhancing the research and application of safety and environmentally friendly intelligent technologies for autonomous navigation, docking and undocking, cargo handling, engine room equipment monitoring, and fast charging and battery swapping. Additionally, it highlights the importance of developing new digital intelligent ship equipment and conducting research on new ship navigation models based on 5G networks, such as "shore-based control and onboard monitoring," with a focus on breakthroughs in remote driving and collision avoidance technologies under ship-shore collaboration.
