On December 10, the Yangtze River Delta Regional Cooperation Office, along with the Development and Reform Commissions of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, jointly issued the "Yangtze River Delta Regional Logistics Optimization and Cost Reduction Action Plan." This marks the first cross-provincial logistics cost-reduction and efficiency-improvement plan in China.The plan aims to address common challenges and prioritize consensus-driven initiatives, featuring seven key actions and 37 measures.Enhancing Regional Logistics Infrastructure: The plan accelerates the implementation of national freight hub improvement projects, the Yangtze River Delta freight network project, and inland waterway connectivity projects, strengthening the regional logistics network.Driving Technological Innovation: The three provinces and one city will jointly promote digital and green transformation in logistics, including the development of low-altitude aviation and facilities for charging and swapping batteries in new energy heavy-duty container trucks.Fostering Industry and Supply Chain Integration: The plan includes initiatives such as the "Three New Items" logistics efficiency project, the establishment of a regional grain emergency support center, and the coordinated planning of regional cold chain logistics hubs to reduce costs across the logistics chain.Enhancing International Logistics Competitiveness: Measures include advancing the China-Europe Railway Express assembly hub demonstration project, exploring customs transfer and multimodal transport operations, and promoting these practices across the Yangtze River Delta to improve international logistics resilience and competitiveness.This comprehensive approach aims to optimize logistics operations, reduce costs, and boost the Yangtze River Delta's standing as a critical logistics hub.
