On June 24, the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce issued the “Notice on Organizing the 2025 New Energy Vehicle Consumption Season in Counties and Towns Across the Country”. The notice states that local authorities should extensively mobilize social forces to participate in the NEV consumption season activities, support independent third-party used NEV information inquiry platforms in improving operational quality and efficiency, strengthen the promotion and application of in-use NEV testing platforms, and expand transactions of used NEVs. It also calls for accelerating the construction of facilities such as NEV parking lots, charging piles, after-sales service stations, and end-of-life vehicle recycling service outlets in county and township areas to facilitate residents' trade-in of old vehicles for new ones and alleviate concerns about daily vehicle use. Additionally, efforts should be made to explore leveraging existing gas stations to build a number of township auto service stations integrating functions such as vehicle sales, maintenance, parking and energy replenishment, catering, and accommodation.
