On September 10th, six authorities including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Central Social Work Department, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) jointly issued recently "Notice on Launching a Special Rectification Campaign Against Online Chaotic Phenomena in the Automotive Industry" (referred to as the "Notice" below). They decided to launch a 3-month-long special rectification campaign against online chaotic phenomena in the automotive industry nationwide.This campaign will focus on rectifying online chaotic phenomena such as illegal profit-making, exaggerated and false publicity, and malicious slander and attacks, improve the quality and efficiency of handling online chaotic phenomena involving automotive enterprises, urge enterprises to standardize marketing and publicity practices, create a sound public opinion environment, and facilitate the high-quality development of the automotive industry.
